Un contador registra la diferencia neta entre la cantidad de electricidad producida por los paneles solares y la cantidad de electricidad consumida durante cada mes de facturaci\u00f3n. Para los a\u00f1os fiscales 2012-2019, MCE asign\u00f3 $345,000 a reembolsos solares para personas de bajos ingresos y se asoci\u00f3 con el programa Energ\u00eda para Todos de GRID Alternatives para ofrecer $900 reembolsos a clientes de bajos ingresos que instalen paneles solares.
