Rising Sun ofrece programas de formaci\u00f3n para j\u00f3venes, mujeres y personas interesadas en reincorporarse al mercado laboral. Los programas ayudan a los alumnos a conseguir empleos bien remunerados en los sectores de la energ\u00eda limpia y la construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Nacido y criado en East Oakland, Damian Lee se gradu\u00f3 recientemente en el programa Rising Sun y ha comenzado una nueva carrera como top\u00f3grafo con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bkf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ingenieros BKF<\/a>. Hablamos con Damian sobre los conocimientos adquiridos durante su formaci\u00f3n y su experiencia desde que se gradu\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 le llev\u00f3 al programa Sol Naciente?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Me gradu\u00e9 en la escuela de mantenimiento aeron\u00e1utico un a\u00f1o antes de incorporarme al programa de formaci\u00f3n de Rising Sun. Ten\u00eda dificultades para encontrar trabajo y buscaba oportunidades. Mi hermano mayor hab\u00eda pasado por el programa de formaci\u00f3n de Rising Sun. Me lo recomend\u00f3 y me puso en contacto con Juanita Douglas, Directora de Construcci\u00f3n de Rising Sun, y ella se encarg\u00f3 de todo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l fue su experiencia con el programa?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entr\u00e9 en el programa con experiencia previa en este campo, pero aprend\u00ed tanto de Rising Sun que casi eclips\u00f3 lo que ya pensaba que sab\u00eda. El programa me proporcion\u00f3 habilidades que me ayudaron a sentirme segura al entrar en el campo de la construcci\u00f3n y me proporcion\u00f3 los medios para ir y volver de clase. Todo el mundo en Rising Sun fue muy \u00fatil, y fue genial tener esa experiencia pr\u00e1ctica de aprendizaje.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 conocimientos ha adquirido?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uno de los elementos m\u00e1s \u00fatiles fue la formaci\u00f3n matem\u00e1tica. Aprend\u00ed a convertir r\u00e1pidamente entre fracciones y decimales y a tomar medidas precisas. Tambi\u00e9n aprend\u00ed a utilizar correctamente las herramientas y a usarlas de forma m\u00e1s eficaz y segura. Tambi\u00e9n pude adquirir conocimientos espec\u00edficos, como primeros auxilios, que nunca antes hab\u00eda tenido. Es genial participar en una organizaci\u00f3n que prepara tan bien a la gente para el mundo laboral.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo ha podido utilizar estas competencias en su carrera?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consegu\u00ed un trabajo como top\u00f3grafo y utilizo a diario las habilidades matem\u00e1ticas que aprend\u00ed en Rising Sun. Soy mucho m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido en la conversi\u00f3n de medidas, y ahora estoy familiarizado con la forma de leer las diferentes herramientas de medici\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n s\u00e9 c\u00f3mo utilizar correctamente un martillo, incluidas las marcas de replanteo y los puntos de control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l ha sido su experiencia desde que termin\u00f3 el programa?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He aprendido que es importante comunicarse con Rising Sun incluso despu\u00e9s de graduarse, porque quieren ayudarte a tener \u00e9xito en tu carrera. Si saben que las cosas no van seg\u00fan lo previsto, te ayudan a establecer contactos o a desarrollar aptitudes de divulgaci\u00f3n. Despu\u00e9s de graduarse en el programa, algunas personas piensan que Rising Sun ya no puede ayudarles.
