La Central El\u00e9ctrica Virtual (CPV) de MCE ayuda a los participantes a ahorrar dinero con tecnolog\u00edas de energ\u00eda limpia y a recibir cr\u00e9ditos mensuales en sus facturas de energ\u00eda. A cambio, permiten que sus dispositivos energ\u00e9ticos inteligentes respondan a las se\u00f1ales de MCE para cambiar la carga en funci\u00f3n de las necesidades de la red. La Comunidad Energ\u00e9tica Avanzada de Richmond cuenta con una subvenci\u00f3n de $5 millones de la Comisi\u00f3n de Energ\u00eda de California y hasta $2,8 millones de fondos de contrapartida de varios socios, entre ellos la ciudad de Richmond, CalEPA y MCE.
