Sobre las horas punta<\/h4>

Las horas punta son las horas en las que la demanda de electricidad es m\u00e1s alta, que suele ser m\u00e1s alta a partir de las 4 de la tarde, cuando la gente vuelve a casa del trabajo hasta que empiezan a acostarse por la noche. La mayor\u00eda de los clientes residenciales de electricidad en el \u00e1rea de servicio de MCE est\u00e1n en un plan de tarifa de tiempo de uso (TOU). El plan TOU es una estructura de precios en la que el coste de la electricidad var\u00eda en funci\u00f3n de la hora del d\u00eda, el d\u00eda de la semana y la estaci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o. Cuando la demanda de electricidad es mayor durante esa franja nocturna, las tarifas el\u00e9ctricas tambi\u00e9n son m\u00e1s elevadas. Fuera de la franja horaria de 4 a 9 de la tarde, la electricidad cuesta menos. Las tarifas TOU animan a los usuarios a utilizar la electricidad fuera de las horas punta, cuando la demanda es menor. Este cambio ayuda a equilibrar la demanda, creando una red m\u00e1s sostenible y reduciendo los costes totales de electricidad. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Por qu\u00e9 debe limitar el uso de electrodom\u00e9sticos durante las horas punta<\/h4>

Las mejores horas de generaci\u00f3n para las fuentes de energ\u00eda renovables, como la e\u00f3lica y la solar, suelen producirse fuera de las horas punta. La energ\u00eda solar es m\u00e1s abundante entre las 12 y las 16 horas, mientras que la e\u00f3lica tiende a alcanzar su punto \u00e1lgido entre las 20 y las 4 horas. Sin embargo, cuando el sol se pone y la demanda de electricidad es m\u00e1xima, la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda solar disminuye y las centrales de combustibles f\u00f3siles suelen intervenir para satisfacer la demanda hasta que la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica repunta por la noche.<\/p>

Consejos para reducir el consumo en horas punta<\/h4>
  1. Comprueba la hora.<\/strong> Programa tus electrodom\u00e9sticos de alto consumo, como lavavajillas, lavadoras y secadoras, para que funcionen fuera de las horas punta. Utiliza temporizadores autom\u00e1ticos cuando est\u00e9n disponibles, o programa manualmente los aparatos para que funcionen cuando la demanda de energ\u00eda sea menor. Por ejemplo, pon en marcha el lavavajillas antes de irte a trabajar o programa la lavadora para que funcione despu\u00e9s de medianoche, de modo que la ropa est\u00e9 lista para pasar a la secadora por la ma\u00f1ana. Considera la posibilidad de utilizar una olla de cocci\u00f3n lenta para la cena; ponla en marcha por la ma\u00f1ana antes de salir, para llegar a casa con la comida caliente y lista.<\/li>

P\u00e1sate a la iluminaci\u00f3n LED.<\/strong> Las bombillas LED no s\u00f3lo consumen mucha menos energ\u00eda que las bombillas incandescentes tradicionales, sino que adem\u00e1s duran mucho m\u00e1s. Si equipa su casa con iluminaci\u00f3n LED, ahorrar\u00e1 en su factura de la luz.
