Nuestro primer Festival Because of Youth, celebrado en el Contra Costa Community College, aport\u00f3 nueva energ\u00eda al movimiento por la justicia clim\u00e1tica poniendo a los j\u00f3venes en primer plano. Creamos un espacio en el que los j\u00f3venes pudieran verse a s\u00ed mismos como los l\u00edderes del ma\u00f1ana y, al mismo tiempo, ponerse en contacto con oportunidades profesionales ecol\u00f3gicas.

La misi\u00f3n del festival era sencilla pero poderosa: capacitar a los j\u00f3venes a trav\u00e9s de la acci\u00f3n comunitaria, celebrando al mismo tiempo su creatividad. Al centrarnos en la educaci\u00f3n y la equidad en un entorno edificante, dimos a los participantes herramientas para lograr un cambio real.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 ahora?<\/h4>

Reconocimos que las voces de los j\u00f3venes necesitaban m\u00e1s protagonismo en nuestro trabajo sobre el clima. Los j\u00f3venes merecen espacios donde puedan acceder a recursos y oportunidades centrados espec\u00edficamente en sus necesidades e intereses.<\/p>

El festival se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para llenar este vac\u00edo con algo arraigado en la comunidad y empoderador. Inspir\u00e1ndonos en la forma en que los j\u00f3venes de hoy se relacionan con las redes sociales, creamos una plataforma en la que los j\u00f3venes l\u00edderes pudieran compartir sus propias historias y conectar con sus iguales de forma aut\u00e9ntica.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lo m\u00e1s destacado del Festival<\/h4>

Los J\u00f3venes Embajadores fueron las estrellas m\u00e1s destacadas del acto. Su energ\u00eda y sus nuevas perspectivas contribuyeron a que otros j\u00f3venes participantes entablaran conversaciones significativas sobre la acci\u00f3n por el clima.<\/p>

Los socios comunitarios se presentaron con oportunidades reales, no s\u00f3lo con informaci\u00f3n. De este modo, los asistentes pudieron llevarse pistas de trabajo y contactos, convirtiendo la inspiraci\u00f3n en acci\u00f3n. El esp\u00edritu de colaboraci\u00f3n cre\u00f3 un ambiente positivo que parec\u00eda un verdadero esfuerzo comunitario.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Equidad en acci\u00f3n<\/h4>

Hacer que el festival fuera accesible para todos era una prioridad absoluta. Trabajamos para crear un espacio en el que todos los j\u00f3venes se sintieran vistos y valorados, independientemente de su procedencia.<\/p>

Nuestra colaboraci\u00f3n con organizaciones locales que atienden a comunidades hist\u00f3ricamente marginadas garantiz\u00f3 que el acto reflejara la diversidad de nuestras \u00e1reas de servicio. Estas conexiones ayudaron a atraer a j\u00f3venes que normalmente no oir\u00edan hablar de estas oportunidades. Entre nuestras asociaciones se incluyen:<\/p>

    Actuar ya contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/h4>\nEl cambio clim\u00e1tico nos afecta a todos, pero son los j\u00f3venes de hoy quienes se enfrentar\u00e1n a sus mayores retos. Por eso te pedimos que te unas a este movimiento. Ya sea explorando carreras ecol\u00f3gicas, reduciendo tu huella de carbono o alzando la voz en tu comunidad, cada acci\u00f3n cuenta.\n\nEl festival nos ha demostrado que las soluciones clim\u00e1ticas necesitan la voz de todos, especialmente de los j\u00f3venes. Puedes empezar por informarte sobre pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles, unirte a los actos de limpieza de tu comunidad o incluso iniciar conversaciones sobre justicia clim\u00e1tica con amigos y familiares.\n\nRecuerda: los peque\u00f1os pasos conducen a grandes cambios cuando trabajamos juntos. La crisis clim\u00e1tica puede parecer abrumadora, pero cuando cada uno de nosotros act\u00faa, creamos un poderoso impulso.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Causar impacto<\/h4>

    Uno de los J\u00f3venes Embajadores explic\u00f3 c\u00f3mo el festival hab\u00eda cambiado su perspectiva. Ganaron confianza en s\u00ed mismos entrevistando a organizaciones y compartiendo sus puntos de vista con otros j\u00f3venes en las redes sociales, algo que nunca antes hab\u00edan hecho.<\/p>
