Bien que la production de bio\u00e9nergie ne soit pas exempte d'\u00e9missions, il convient de noter que la production de bio\u00e9nergie \u00e0 partir de d\u00e9chets produit beaucoup moins de m\u00e9thane que les m\u00e9thodes d'\u00e9limination traditionnelles.<\/li><li><strong>Utilisation des terres et de l'eau : <\/strong>MCE s'oppose \u00e0 la culture de plantes destin\u00e9es \u00e0 l'alimentation humaine. <em>objectif unique<\/em> de la production de bio\u00e9nergie, car elle n\u00e9cessite beaucoup de terres et d'eau.<\/li><li><strong>Impact sur l'environnement : <\/strong>Si la biomasse n'est pas achet\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re durable, elle peut conduire \u00e0 la d\u00e9forestation et \u00e0 la perte de biodiversit\u00e9.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Comment le MCE assure-t-il l'approvisionnement durable en bio\u00e9nergie ?<\/strong><\/p><p>La biomasse et les biod\u00e9chets repr\u00e9sentent <a href=\"https:\/\/mcecleanenergy.org\/fr\/energy-suppliers\/\">autour de 6%<\/a> du service d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 Light Green de MCE. MCE s'engage \u00e0 maximiser les avantages potentiels de la bio\u00e9nergie par le biais d'un approvisionnement durable et responsable.
