Bay Area Contractors: Turn Clean Energy Projects Into Profit

Bay Area Contractors: Turn Clean Energy Projects Into Profit

Are you a contractor serving Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, or Solano County? MCE has programs designed to help you grow your business and earn incentives while supporting the Bay Area’s shift to clean energy.

The Opportunity Is Now

As new regulations push California toward its clean energy goals, more homeowners need to replace old gas appliances with cleaner electric options. This demand creates a huge opportunity for contractors like you. MCE’s programs help you meet this growing demand while earning significant incentives for your business.

When you enroll in an MCE contractor program, you’ll be featured on MCE’s Contractor Finder tool. Our free online directory helps residential customers find licensed, experienced contractors in their area. This tool connects you directly with homeowners ready to start their projects.

Three Ways to Earn with MCE

1. Training on the Latest Technologies
Get expert-led, hands-on training to sharpen your home electrification skills. MCE provides $3,500 per crewmember to attend electrification training. MCE also offers access to free energy efficiency training modules. Stay ahead of the curve while getting paid to learn!
2. Support to Grow Your Team at No Cost
Struggling to find qualified workers? MCE matches you with prevetted, entry-level job seekers who are ready to work. You’ll receive up to $5,000 for new-hire payroll costs and $300 reimbursement per new hire for tools and materials. Build your team without the financial burden! MCE is investing in the future through partnerships like the NextGen Trades Academy, which provides training on green construction, electrification, and energy efficiency to job seekers in Marin County. With California’s renewable energy sector employing over 136,000 workers and growing, contractors can mentor new workers and help build tomorrow’s clean energy economy.
3. Cash for Electrifying Homes
Earn up to $3,175 for a heat pump water heater installation and receive $1,500 for each permanent heat pump water heater installed after a customer’s gas water heater breaks. This incentive applies even when a temporary unit is installed while waiting for upgrades to be completed on the new equipment. You can also get paid to install long-term energy efficiency measures, including an up-front rebate to pass through to the customer and bonus payments for additional metered savings.
