MCE’s EV Instant Rebate program provides a discount to eligible customers when they buy or lease a qualified new or used EV at a participating dealership. Rebates are available only at point-of-sale and can’t be claimed after the transaction is complete.
To be eligible to participate, your dealership must:

Learn program requirements, who is eligible, and how to submit claims for reimbursement. When training is complete, each dealership must sign a Dealer Participation Agreement, which outlines program requirements and terms.
Point your customers to MCE’s Rebate & Incentive Finder so they can apply for additional pre-purchase EV incentives.
Energy Solutions, a clean energy implementation firm, will support you through MCE’s EV Instant Rebate program and assist you with enrolling as a participating dealership, submitting claims for rebate reimbursement, and processing reimbursement payments.
No, there is no cost for dealerships to enroll or participate in the program.
No, there are no regional requirements or limitations for dealers to participate in the program. However, there are customer eligibility requirements that include being an MCE customer living in the MCE service area and meeting the income qualifications.
Rebate funds are typically reimbursed within two weeks after the claim is submitted and approved. Dealers must ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate to avoid delays. Payment will be paid by ACH or Check.

If the customer is unsure whether they are an MCE customer, have them check their PG&E energy bill to see if MCE is listed as their electric generation provider.
If the customer is not an MCE customer or remains unsure, advise them to contact MCE directly at (888) 632-3674, Mon–Fri: 9 am to 5 pm.
If the customer is an MCE customer but their address is not appearing in the portal, please contact the program team at (628) 272-9910 before making the sale/lease. New enrollments may take time to reflect in the system.
