General Order 156 (GO 156) is a California Public Utilities Commission ruling that requires utility entities to procure at least 21.5% of their contracts with majority women-owned, minority-owned, person with a disability-owned, veteran-owned, and LGBT-owned business enterprises in all categories. Qualified businesses become GO 156 Certified through the CPUC and are then added to the Supplier Clearinghouse database.
