The Arrearage Management Plan (AMP) gives you a fresh start by providing up to $8,000 in debt forgiveness on your energy bills. PG&E runs this statewide program for MCE customers to help you get back on track.
To qualify, you must:
Visit pge.com/amp or call PG&E’s automated service at (877) 660-6789 to start your application.
If you miss two payments in a row, or three payments in total, you’ll be removed from the program and must pay any remaining debt.
As you make on-time monthly payments, your debt is forgiven. In 12 months, your debt will be paid off in full.

If you miss two payments in a row or three payments total, you’ll be removed from the program and any unforgiven debt will be reapplied to your next energy bill.
To stay in the program, pay your current bill and any past due balances by your next bill’s due date.
