While the Federal EV Tax Credit ended September 30th, MCE will continue to provide EV Instant Rebates to help lower the upfront cost of EVs for customers with lower incomes. With MCE EV Instant Rebates, eligible customers can get up to $3,500 off the purchase or lease of a qualified new or used EV at participating dealerships. Since May 2023, MCE’s programs have:
- Helped more than 2,000 customers receive instant rebates totaling over $6.5 million.
- Avoided an estimated 9,730 MTCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions — equivalent to the emissions from electricity use of 2,028 homes for one year.
