MCE’s Strategic Energy Management program (SEM) is designed to help industrial, agricultural, large commercial and large multifamily properties save energy and earn incentives based on their performance.
Unlike traditional energy savings programs that prescribe specific actions, SEM allows participants to choose any energy saving measures they prefer, large or small. A specialist will assess your facility to identify energy saving opportunities, such as air sealing, cleaning dryer vents, and will help you develop a plan for replacing an old water heater with a high-efficiency alternative. Organizations will also be provided with resources on how to make those upgrades. Those who participate receive incentive payments based on the actual amount of energy saved, measured in kilowatt hours of electricity or therms of gas.
