SAN RAFAEL and CONCORD, Calif. — Local electricity provider, MCE, is now accepting submissions for its newly launched Community Partnership Program. The program offers contracts to fund local organizations including non-profits, government agencies, and other community-based organizations to educate communities about MCE’s clean energy programs and services. MCE will be awarding up to 8 partners with up to $30,000 each for applicants who bring forward the most creative and impactful proposals. The deadline to submit applications is October 21, 2024 with contracts aiming to launch in January 2025.

MCE – Dawn Weisz

MCE’s Community Partnership Program will support the efforts of local organizations who are already doing the feet-on-the-street work to encourage clean energy adoption,” said Dawn Weisz, MCE CEO. “We’re aiming to amplify both MCE’s work and the work of our partners to create a more holistic approach to clean energy adoption, awareness, and education.

Organizations who wish to submit offers to MCE must submit a scope of work no more than five pages in length including:

  • A description of strategies and tactics for conducting general outreach
  • A plan for collaboration with MCE’s outreach team
  • Optional scope of work for specific campaigns focused on local contractor education related to electrification, MCE’s Small Business Energy Advantage program, clean transportation and mobility options, and/or low-income and underserved communities.

Submissions will be evaluated based on the completeness of applications, impact on MCE customers, equity focus, estimated number of communities served, and creativity in the proposal.
