The MCE Sync app helps you automate your EV charging at home to use the least expensive and cleanest energy on the grid.

After you download the MCE Sync app, we’ll ask you to connect to your EV or charger using the username and password on your account to give us permission to optimize your charging. Once you successfully connect your compatible EV or charger, you will receive a confirmation message and can start saving and earning incentives!
You’ll earn a $50 bonus after connecting your EV or charger and completing your first charge. You can also earn $10 per month by charging during at least two low-carbon events per month.
Low-carbon events shift EV charging toward daytime hours when renewable energy is abundant. You’ll receive a push notification on your phone notifying you of a low-carbon window. To participate, all you need to do is plug in your EV before or during the low-carbon window and set your ready-by time in the MCE Sync app for after the low-carbon window is over. All incentives are paid via PayPal or Venmo by the 15th of the month.
With MCE Sync, you’re always in control of your charging. If you need to override your optimized schedule, tap the “Boost” button on the MCE Sync app dashboard. This will allow you to charge immediately, but still keep your optimized charging schedule for next time.
MCE Sync’s Solar feature automatically charges your EV during sunny hours when your solar panels are generating electricity. MCE Sync will predict how much electricity your home solar will generate at any given time, using basic information on the size and output of your solar panels along with your address and local weather forecasts. When your EV is plugged in and scheduled to smart charge with “solar smart charging” enabled in the MCE Sync app, MCE Sync will direct your EV to charge when energy from your solar panels can go straight into your battery. If more electricity is needed to charge your EV, MCE Sync will top up your battery using grid electricity during off-peak hours. This gets your EV charged up with the greenest, cleanest energy possible.

We’ll delete the secure token that grants us access to the EV or charger you registered in the app. All your personal data will be deleted from our system within 7 days. Please note that only deleting the app from your mobile phone doesn’t remove our connection to your EV.
MCE’s partner, ev.energy, will take a reading of your battery level to calculate how much charge is required to get your EV to your specified battery level before your “ready-by” time. ev.energy’s algorithm then directs your EV to start charging during times when energy is least expensive and greenest. This may take place during daytime hours when there’s a lot of renewable solar energy available, so we recommend setting your ready-by time for as late in the morning as possible.
