As a thank you for your commitment to renewable energy and actions to fight climate change, MCE is offering a Solar Storage Credit of up to $20 per month. To be eligible for the credit, you must have home solar, automate your battery to discharge from 4–9 p.m. daily, and set your battery reserve to no more than 20%, except when preparing for or during a power outage.
To participate, you must:
Be enrolled in a Time-of-Use rate such as:
E-TOU-C (Peak Pricing 4–9 pm. Every Day)

Yes, you can (and we encourage you to!) participate in other programs like OhmConnect that incentivize you to shift your electricity usage outside of peak times (e.g., 4–9 p.m.). These programs often send you useful reminders to reduce your usage to help prevent polluting, gas peaker plants from firing up.
Yes, you can participate in both. MCE Sync is a smart charging app to help EV drivers automate their EV charging at home to use the least expensive and cleanest energy on the grid. Our app’s Home Solar feature optimizes your solar to maximize your NEM credits to export solar during peak grid hours and uses your solar to charge your EV during off-peak hours to lower your electricity bill.
